Termessos Antique City

12th km of Antalya - Korkuteli road. There is the Güllük Mountain (Termessos) National Park entrance on the left, and the Karain Cave road on the right. Termessos is an important ancient city founded by the Solyms, descendants of the Luwians, one of the oldest peoples of Anatolia, in the southwestern part of the Pisidia region known as "Milyas", in the valley between the peaks of the Solymos Mountain, which is today called "Güllük". To the southwest of the city are the remains of a private Roman-style villa called the "Founder's House". The building, whose facade wall is in Doric order and reaching a height of 6 meters, was named 'The Founder's House' due to the inscription on the left side of the door. Güllük Mountain (Termessos) National Park is home to many animals, including the botanicals of the region, including the endangered ones. The ruins of the city begin with the Hellenistic Age Wall located near Yenicekahve and continue to the summit of Mount Güllük.This unique Roman city, hidden in nature for centuries, is one of the important historical values ​​of Döşemealtı.
